Before I was sailing myself, when I watched movies or read books about pirates, I noticed that there are some things they always believe in, for example, woman on board brings bad luck.. This weekend 8-10th June organised by Sail Training Association Latvia, I had a wonderful chance to show youngsters how to sail, who haven't done that before.
This is the day I am buying tickets for me and 3 guys who will help me sail "Dora the Explorer" to Riga. I am excited but also a little bit scared (as it should be) starting a new chapter in one's life.
Everyone has a passion. For some it's gardening, for some it's animals. Mine is sailing. I have sailed for 3 years now and opportunity has risen for me to go on adventure that others could only dream about! There is a wonderful Hallberg-Rassy 41 boat that I have permission to sail around the world!
